Africa Food Show 2026

For three days in August, the Kenyatta International Convention Centre becomes the room where East Africa’s food economy takes stock of itself. The Africa Food Show runs 19 to 21 August, drawing manufacturers, importers, retail buyers, and hospitality operators into a single hall to read the same market at the same time.

This is a trade floor, not a tasting menu. What moves here is supply – ingredients, packaging, cold-chain logistics, the machinery behind what eventually reaches a plate. For anyone whose work touches African food at scale, the value is orientation: who is buying, what is shifting, and why Nairobi has become the meeting point for the region’s agribusiness and retail sectors.

The timing carries a longer signal. From 2027 the franchise migrates south to become Anuga Select South Africa, folding into one of the world’s largest food-trade networks. This Nairobi edition is both a working marketplace and a marker of where the continent’s food industry is being organised, and by whom.
