Founder of Zaron Cosmetics, Oke Maduewesi, is a mother of two, who used to work as a manager at Zenith Bank before she created her infamous brand. She has said that her managerial position at the bank laid the foundations of her having a successful cosmetics line.
She sold almost everything she owned to build her brand and it is evident that it was a risk worth taking as she now has a whole empire to her name with distributors in several other African countries. The idea of Zaron was however conceived in Leeds where she was studying towards her MBA at Leeds Business School.
Today Zaron cosmetics has become one of most profitable, trustworthy and reputable brands in Africa. Oke makes sure not to skimp on quality when it comes to her products; and she offers them at an affordable price. As a woman of colour, it was top priority that all skin tones and textured are well represented in all her makeup products.
Zaron cosmetics ‘aspire to contribute to improving the quality of lives of people by developing and distributing quality and affordable lifestyle products that enhance confidence and inner peace.’
Zaron Cosmetics has since expanded to other countries in Africa, namely Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, and Cameroon.
